Growing up in Mexico I never really appreciated the change of seasons. I was 17 years old the first time I got to see the beautiful and abundant trees of Minnesota change from green, to deep reds, browns, and yellows. I had fallen in love with the greens and the lakes. But the reds and the warmth were just as inviting.Today is the first day of Fall. It is beautiful to look outside and see the tress changing colors. The scent of pumpkin bars and apple cider.
And I also look forward to Thanksgiving. Last year we were in Ukraine, this year we will be home!

ReplyDeleteThis time of year is one of the biggest reasons we live in Iowa and not back in Texas. It became my favorite after I moved to Iowa and I just can't get enough!

ReplyDeleteI lived in Bermuda for 6 years and I YEARNED for Fall. Now that I'm back in Canada, I almost wish summer away so that i can get to the cool, crisp days, changing leaves, football and Thanksgiving.
