This is our friend's daughter, M. She is only 4 months old and tomorrow she is having open heart surgery. We have been praying for her and tomorrow will be a day full of prayer. I wanted to share her photo with you and ask that you too pray for sweet baby M.
As a mother I cannot imagine having to give my child over to a surgeon, it is something no parent wants to do. We pray that the Lord will give Bill and Kristin peace, as well as guide the hands of the surgeons.
(And if you have read my story in the book Gifts 2, this are our friends that I wrote about)
Thanks posting this friend, we appreciate your prayers!

I would be honored to pray! You are right about handing off your child. It is hard. Someone told me that heart surgery is hard, but not having the option of heart surgery is much, much harder. That really helped me view it as a gift, rather than something awful to endure. We found that waiting for surgery was much harder than the actual event. Praying that all goes swimmingly and for a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteKayden had open heart surgery in January of this year and while it was one of the scariest things at the time,I realized later it was the anticipation that made it worse. It was put into perspective by our surgeon who told us" I know this is a big deal to you, but it is routine to us". The surgery is a god send and brings a whole new child after. Please feel free to checkout our story about it on our blog in January. We will keep them inour thoughts today !
